Welcome to Best Sri Taxis (hereinafter referred to as "we", "us", "our", or "the Company"), operated through the website bestsritaxis.com. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our taxi and travel services across Sri Lanka.

By booking, using, or accessing any of our services — including airport transfers, city rides, tour packages, and long-distance travel — you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these terms.

  • These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you (the passenger/client) and Best Sri Taxis
  • Services are available to individuals aged 18 years or older, or minors accompanied by a legal guardian
  • We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone who violates these terms
  • All services are subject to availability and operational conditions
  • These terms are governed by the laws of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka

Booking & Reservations

All bookings with Best Sri Taxis can be made through the following channels. A booking is considered confirmed only after you receive an official confirmation from our team.

  • Full name of the lead passenger
  • Contact number (preferably WhatsApp-enabled)
  • Pickup date, time, and exact location
  • Drop-off destination or tour itinerary details
  • Number of passengers and luggage details
  • Any special requirements (child seat, wheelchair access, etc.)

Advance booking is recommended during peak tourist season (December – March) and Sri Lankan holidays. Last-minute bookings are subject to vehicle availability.

  • A booking is only confirmed after you receive written confirmation via WhatsApp, email, or SMS
  • Confirmation will include driver details, vehicle type, pickup time, and fare estimate
  • We may require a deposit for advance bookings and multi-day tours

The quoted fare includes vehicle, driver, fuel, and applicable taxes. Toll charges, parking fees, and entrance fees to attractions are additional and borne by the passenger.

  • Waiting Time: Applicable after 15 minutes of free waiting
  • Night Surcharge: May apply for rides between 10:00 PM – 5:00 AM
  • Toll & Expressway: Highway toll charges borne by the passenger
  • Extra Stops: Additional stops en route may incur extra charges
  • Overtime (Tours): Exceeding agreed hours will incur hourly charges

We understand plans can change. Below is our cancellation policy for different booking types.

🔄 Cancellation by Best Sri Taxis
  • Force Majeure: Natural disasters, extreme weather, civil unrest, or government restrictions
  • Vehicle Breakdown: We will arrange alternative transport when possible
  • Driver Emergency: Unforeseen medical or personal emergency
  • Road Closures: Government-imposed road blocks or construction
✅ Our Guarantee

If Best Sri Taxis cancels your booking and cannot arrange alternative transport, you will receive a 100% full refund of any payments made.

Passenger Responsibilities

To ensure a safe and pleasant journey for everyone, passengers must adhere to the following:

  • Punctuality: Be ready at the pickup location at the agreed time (15 min grace period)
  • Accurate Information: Provide correct pickup/drop-off details and contact numbers
  • Seatbelts: All passengers must wear seatbelts at all times
  • Child Safety: Passengers with children under 5 must request a child seat when booking
  • Vehicle Care: Treat the vehicle with respect. Damage will be charged accordingly
  • No Smoking: Smoking inside the vehicle is strictly prohibited
  • No Illegal Substances: Carrying or consuming illegal substances is prohibited
  • Respectful Behavior: Abusive or threatening behavior will not be tolerated
  • Personal Belongings: You are responsible for your own luggage and items
  • Valid Documents: Carry valid ID and travel documents when required
đŸšĢ Right to Refuse Service

Best Sri Taxis reserves the right to refuse service or terminate a journey if a passenger is intoxicated, violent, abusive, or poses a safety threat. No refund will be given in such cases.

Luggage Policy

Standard luggage allowances vary by vehicle type. Please inform us about your luggage at booking.

Excess luggage without prior notice may require a larger vehicle at additional cost. Surfboards, bicycles, and oversized items must be declared at booking.

  • Hazardous materials, flammable substances, and illegal items are strictly prohibited
  • We are not liable for damage to fragile items not properly packed
  • Lost items — we will make reasonable efforts to locate and return left-behind belongings

Airport Transfer Policy

Airport transfers are one of our core services. The following applies to Bandaranaike International Airport (CMB) and Mattala Rajapaksa International Airport (HRI).

  • We monitor flights in real-time and adjust for delays
  • Free waiting: 60 minutes for international arrivals, 30 minutes for domestic
  • Waiting charges apply after the free waiting period
  • Provide accurate flight number and arrival time when booking

  • Schedule pickup 3.5 hours before international flights
  • Schedule pickup 2.5 hours before domestic flights
  • Airport parking fees (if applicable) are borne by the passenger

We track your flight in real-time. If your flight is delayed, our driver adjusts accordingly at no extra charge.

Tour Packages

Best Sri Taxis offers customizable tour packages across Sri Lanka. The following terms apply to all tour bookings.

  • Customization: All tours fully customizable based on your preferences
  • Driver-Guide: Your driver doubles as a knowledgeable local guide
  • Daily Duration: Standard tour day is 8-10 hours (8:00 AM – 6:00 PM)
  • Overtime: Extended hours charged per hour beyond daily limit
  • Accommodation: Driver accommodation arranged separately
  • Entrance Fees: All attraction fees borne by the passenger
  • Route Changes: Minor modifications accommodated free of charge
  • Major Changes: Significant changes may incur additional mileage charges
  • Multi-Day Deposit: 20-30% deposit may be required for tours exceeding 3 days

Tour prices include: vehicle, driver, fuel, all mileage, GPS navigation, complimentary water, and airport pickup/drop-off for multi-day tours.

Safety & Insurance

Your safety is our highest priority. All operations comply with Sri Lankan transport regulations.

  • Vehicle Insurance: Comprehensive insurance as required by law
  • Third-Party Liability: Full third-party liability coverage maintained
  • Driver Licensing: All drivers hold valid licenses and professional permits
  • Vehicle Inspection: Regular safety inspections strictly followed
  • Speed Limits: Drivers adhere to all traffic regulations
  • First Aid: All vehicles carry a basic first aid kit
  • Emergency Protocol: Drivers trained in emergency response

We strongly recommend all passengers carry their own comprehensive travel insurance covering medical emergencies, trip cancellation, and personal belongings. Our vehicle insurance does not cover personal travel claims.

  • We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages
  • Force majeure events absolve us from liability for non-performance

Complaints & Dispute Resolution
